Jamie Foxx in The Jamie Foxx Show (1996)

Trivia

The Jamie Foxx Show

Edit
This show is loosely based on Jamie Foxx's personal life. Jamie Foxx (like his character, Jamie King) was raised in Terrell, Texas. It is also established that Jamie King has little contact with his birth parents, and is raised by his aunt and uncle. In reality, Jamie Foxx was raised by his parents' adoptive parents.
Andy Berman, who played Dennis, the bellhop, was a main character during the first season. However, the syndicated versions of this show removed his name and image from the opening credits, making him to appear as a recurring character. This is probably due to the fact that his character disappeared after season one, and wasn't seen or mentioned afterward.
Jamie Foxx is the only cast member that has appeared in every episode.
Jamie Foxx, Garcelle Beauvais and Garrett Morris have appeared in movies that are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Jamie Foxx was the the supervillain Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) and Marvel Studios Spider-Man : No Way Home (2021). Garcelle Beauvais was in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) Beauvais portrayed Doris Toomes, Adrian's wife and Liz's mother. Garrett Morris was in Ant-Man (2015) ,Morris who portrayed Ant-Man in a Saturday Night Live sketch in the 70s, appears as a taxi driver.
Jamie Foxx and Garrett Morris each had recurring roles on Roc (1991). However they weren't on the show at the same time. Garrett had a recurring role in season one, Jamie had a recurring role during seasons two and three.
