Shown only at the Universe of Energy attraction at EPCOT Center in Florida, Ellen DeGeneres plays herself as she goes on a fantasy tour with Billy Nye "The Science Guy" through time to learn the facts about energy in the world as she prepares to face off against an old rival of hers on TV's Jeporady which the topic is all about energy in the world today.

Excellent, hilarious, and entertaining Disney attraction that should never be altered!

Ellen&#39;s Energy Adventure at the Universe of Energy attraction at Disney&#39;s Epcot is a thrilling and hilarious mix of live-action comedy film, computer-generated effects, audio-animatronic dinosaurs, and basic education for its audience. Everyone&#39;s favorite Ellen (proof alone that this should not be touched!) has never been better, with witty writing that accentuates her uniquely unassuming, stuttering personality a la Lucille Ball as herself, a &quot;Jeopardy!&quot; fan who falls asleep and has an &quot;Energy Nightmare&quot; in which she&#39;s competing against college roommate Dr. Judy (&quot;Stupid Judy!&quot; - Jamie Lee Curtis as a snob) - as well as Albert Einstein (ultimately &quot;nowhere, relatively speaking&quot;) - in a game in which all the categories are about energy, not exactly her forte. So Ellen enlists the help of supposed New York neighbor Bill Nye the Science Guy (because no one locks their doors in NYC), who takes her back in time, to the dawn of the universe and the eventual creation of fossil fuels. Ultimately, Bill teaches Ellen about not just the various forms of energy and their pros and cons regarding practicality and environmental concerns, but also about brain power, &quot;the one source of energy that will never run out.&quot; As you can see, the funny script is immensely quotable with cute one-liners galore. The stars (also including Alex Trebek) are well-assembled, the special computer-generated effects during the Big Bang sequence are still excellent, and the attraction seamlessly blends its film and ride aspects with a satirical, contemporary, and timeless approach to telling the story of the formation of the universe of energy. This is an example of 1990s Disney World Imagineering at its magical best. So if you ever travel to Orlando and visit Epcot without seeing this, then you&#39;re really missing out, &quot;and you think about that next time.&quot;

Ellen's Energy Adventure

This attraction is kind of a movie/ride. It stars Ellen Degeneres, and she tells us about a dream she&#39;s had in which she is on Jeopardy, doing badly, and gets help by going on an adventure with Bill Nye. You watch the dream on screens at first, then the theater seats actually move into another room and view the dream portrayed in animatronic characters. Ellen ends up winning, of course.

The reason that I give it such a high score is because you have to see it along with the ride. The Ellens Energy Adventure is played numerous times daily at the Epcot center at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida. The ride starts with a short movie hosted by comedienne Ellen DeGenerous with introduces the plot line. Funny cameos by Bill Nye The Science Guy, Jamie Lee Curtis, Alex Trebeck and Willard Scott make the movie more enjoyable plus the actual action sequences in between sections of the movie. like a section in which you are roaming around with dinosaurs. The ride is very entertaining. The audio animatronics are so well designed so well(like all of Disney) that I am at times wondering what surprises might be around the corner. There is a pretty well done audio animatronic of Ellen herself. This ride is funny and I understand that it was not like that before. No humor probably just like a documentary. This ride is for the better and as lot more fun. Ellen Degenerous has such good delivery and it shows in this funny Disney ride.
