Tere Mere Sapne (1996)

Trivia

Tere Mere Sapne

Edit
This was the first movie to be released by the Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited (ABCL).
Arshad mentioned that while shooting the film, many people including kids, would approach him for a autograph thinking he was Saif Ali Khan. He found this very funny .
Chandrachur stated "My brother had left a bunch of my photographs at ABCL, and Mrs Bachchan called me up and gave me a screen test. I was picked for Tere Mere Sapne, which was originally scheduled to be directed by Bharat Rangachary. Due to his unfortunate demise, there was a bit of a wait, then it was decided that Joy Augustine would direct it. And at the same time, Gulzarsahaab expressed an interest in me, Jayaji showed him my screen test and I landed the role in Maachis."
This was the debut movie of Arshad Warsi and Chandrachur Singh. Both of them had very little success as lead actors. Arshad Warsi transitioned in playing comedy roles as a sidekick for actors such as Sanjay Dutt in Munnabhai MBBS and the Golmaal series, while Chandrachur Singh disappeared from the limelight after 2002 and scarcely appeared in small roles but made a comeback in a web series Aarya in 2020.
ABCL started a campaign to recruit new actors to star in this movie. The result was the debut of all four lead actors, namely - Arshad Warsi, Chandrachur Singh, Priya Gill and Simran.
