Dolly Parton in Unlikely Angel (1996)

Trivia

Unlikely Angel

Edit
The title song has never officially been issued in audio format, but Dolly Parton re-recorded it for her 2014 album "Blue Smoke."
At the beginning of the movie, the sign that reads "Ruby Diamond Appearing Nightly" is missing the letters "U" and "L". This is a reference to the first and last letters of the movie's title.
Dolly Parton starred in the sitcom Heavens to Betsy (1995), which featured a nearly identical plot, with her recently-deceased character trying to earn her wings to get into heaven. Six episodes were produced, but various production problems plagued the show and ultimately, it never aired on television.
Musically, the title song is a retread of Dolly Parton's 1987 song "More Than I Can Say".
When Ruby meets the kids in the kitchen for the first time, Sarah says that she's almost 14 and Matthew says that he's 8, which prompts Ruby to say that she is twice as old as the both of them put together. If you were to add 13+8, you'll get 21. If you were to multiply that by 2, you'll get 42 meaning that Ruby was 42 years old when she died, making her 6 years younger than Dolly at the time.
