According to Kel Mitchell, Abe Vigoda, who was 76 at the time of filming, was able to run and climb over fences on set despite his age.
The theatrical trailer featured a scene that did not quite make it to the film. It featured a Good Burger customer saying "Just give me a good shake" and then Ed reaching over the counter to shake him.
Manny's El Loco restaurant in West Covina, California was used for the filming location of the Good Burger restaurant. As of 2023, the restaurant is still in operation, although it now goes by the name Peter's El Loco restaurant.
At one point in the film, Abe Vigoda's character Otis says, "I should've died years ago." This is a reference to the fact that Vigoda had been mistakenly reported dead by the press on numerous occasions. Vigoda eventually died on January 26th, 2016 of natural causes at the age of 94.
