Edward Furlong, Vanessa Redgrave, Tim Roth, and Maximilian Schell in Little Odessa (1994)

Trivia

Little Odessa

Edit
This film contains just 454 shots in about 92 minutes of action (i.e. excluding the credits). This equates to an average shot length of about 12 seconds. This is very long compared to the 3 - 6 second standard of most Hollywood films made in the 1990s.
Edward Furlong's favorite film of his own.
While Maxmillan Schell was sitting in the newsstand waiting between takes, a woman put down money for a newspaper, not realizing who he was.
Filmed during the brutally cold and snowy New York winter of 1994. Shooting started in late January of 1994 during record breaking cold temperatures and you can tell how cold it was in some scenes, also a lot of scenes show it snowing or snow on the ground. Filming wrapped in late February of 1994.
It took director James Gray two years to get the financing in place to make the film.
