Raveena Tandon was busy shooting two movies at a time and passed out during the shooting of song "Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast". The shooting had to be stopped for two hours.
When Mohra was in the making,Anil Kapoor made a controversial remark to a journalist. Upon hearing that Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty were signed by Rai, AnIl Kapoor said "Have Jackie Shroff and Sunny Deol gone for breakfast for Rajiv Rai to panic and sign to 2 non acting 50% heroes?". Shetty was enraged and stated he was disappointed to hear these comments from a senior actor.

The original leading lady was Divya Bharti, but after her death, Raveena Tandon was signed as her replacement. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was also considered but she was busy in Miss World competition. Raveena first hesitated in doing the film as she thought that female actress had no important role in an action packed film.
Rajiv Rai met Akshay Kumar on the sets of Waqt Hamara Hai (1993). As he needed a tall man who can dance well, he signed Akshay Kumar. Previously, he had seen him in Saugandh (1991).
