Trivia

Stunttman

Edit
" Amma Dekh" was sampled from "On a Ragga Tip" by SL2 . Years later the same tune was used to create the international song "Everyday"(Wear it Big) by Vokker-Darrow. Other version's done were,Jah Screechy's "Walk and Skank", "Badayo" by Dr. Victor, "On The Ragga Tip" by My Digital Enemy, 6:00 from the song "Jagga Jatt Remix" from the album Extra Hot 8 (Bhangra Remixes). The intro part/tune of "Your My Love" from Partner (2007) also sounded like "Amma Dekh" from Stunttman. Banda Isabel's Samba de Janeiro also sounds very similar. Pakistani singer Saleem Danish did his own version titled "Amma Dekh". The song was then included in Pakistani movie Munda Bigra Jaye.
In 1993, singer Bali released a album in England under the OSA record label, titled "Mama Techno Bad Boy - Amma Dekh". Music by Deepak Khazanchi. The album had a different and original version of the song "Amma Dekh". The song was a rage in parties all over the world. Thats when the producer of Stunttman decided to hire Bali and Nadeem Shravan and recreate the song " Amma Dekh" The Stunttman version would have different music and would have more Hindi in the song.
Punjabi singer, Palvinder Dhami of Heera fame claimed that 'Amma Dekh' was his original composition. Dhami's band, 'Heera' was started way back in 1980 but he was known to Indians only after an Indian concert in 1995. "On a Ragga tip' by SL2, also sounds exactly same as 'Amma dekh'. Finally it was discovered that 2:06 of the song "Amma Dekh" from Stunttman, was sampled from Heera's song "Beat The Rhythm"(Balle Balle) at 1:10 of the song.
To ensure the safety of Jackie Shroff while doing his stunts, safety padding worth 1.5 lakhs were used.
The film released theatrically in Canada.
