One half of a good movie.

This could have been a really good movie if someone would just have known how to finish the film.

The story was going along just fine and heading towards that point in every movie like this where the "gray" characters turn "good" and the "bad" guys get their just desserts and *boom* ... it's like they ran out of script and the cast just started to make things up.

Which wouldn't have been so bad ... if the cast had just continued with the character development they had already put in place. But such is not the case and the movie soon becomes a goofy mess.

My advice is to watch this movie up to about the last 30 minutes ... and then shut it off. At this point, imagine how you think the next 30 minutes will look based on what you have seen so far.

Believe me, the ending you come up with will look far better than how this film actually ends. Trust me on this.

    C movie with A comedy

Look this picture isn't winning any academy awards, but you have to watch it with the right frame of mind. The humor is as dark as they can get away with for the time and mainstream market. It's about selling children. You can either find the humor in that or you can't. If you're that guy that always laughs when someone falls down the stairs, then you're probably going to enjoy this movie. Perhaps a better litmus test would be if you enjoyed "Welcome to the Dollhouse." Beverly D'Angelo really delivers on the humor of the script and I think her talent is often overlooked. The only real problem is that the movie was pushed too hard for a mainstream market. This movie borderlines on campy but doesn't go quite far enough to be a cult classic. You can choose to watch it with an open mind and enjoy it for what it is, or be too uptight about the comedy and miss the whole point.

    No... please, no

Look, this film is terrible... the "plot" involves twins who are neglected by their self-absorbed parents, and left in the care of a succession of nannies and babysitters, all of whom the children drive away by being completely obnoxious. Eventually the kids engineer ex-convict Beverly D'Angelo to be their new nanny, do you care why? And D'Angelo watches a TV talk show about selling children and decides she will try to sell the twins... and, well, oh, you don't want to know. It's all very unpleasant, and not at all funny. In fact the announcer slated this film before it came on the TV channel I was watching! Just don't bother wasting a single moment of your life on this pile of complete trash, y'hear?

    Wow! (:

I love this movie . The Whites were hilarious . The "Special Way" (the Indian guy) man was amazing , so amazing in fact , that my friend and I created a song just for him . (: He touched my life , and i'm forever thankful to the person who created this amazing movie . The humor is just like mine , and it's very silly for a movie made in the 90's . I would totally buy this movie and watch it again and again and again n. It's a real family movie . You and your family/friends would enjoy it very much . It's given me so many laughs ! We love you Special Way Man. This movie will touch your life, and make you think twice about touching your wife ! :D Over all , great movie .

    i loved this movie

As a child i vagely watched parts of this movie and I'm glad i remembered enough to search google over 3 hours to figure out the title and I'm so glad i did. The humor is brilliant, the cast lineup is perfect. This movie had me laughing nearly every moment i was watching. Not many family movies capture humor and deliver it well. If you have kids i would definitely recommend this for a movie night event.

Mr. White: Alright Jason, it's very simple. There's a piece of lint somewhere on my person. All you have to do is find it and remove it, alright?

Bea Van Arsdale: [whispering] Why are they making us do this?

Edie: [whispering] For the money. I mean, for the play money. It's a game. By the way, you did really well identifying those cleansers strictly by smell.

Bea Van Arsdale: [whispering] Thanks, it's fun to sniff vapors.

Edie: [whispering] Yeah, I'm proud of you.

Bea Van Arsdale: [whispering] That's the first time anyone's ever said that to me.

Jason Van Arsdale: Now, if I were a piece of lint, where would I be?

Mr. White: Hurry up and find it little boy. I don't like knowing there's a foreign object on me.

      [squirming]

Mr. White: I'm beginning to get the heebie-jeebies. Please find it soon, Jason.

Jason Van Arsdale: I'm looking! Relax!

Mr. White: [turns to Mrs. White] He wants me to relax.

      Mrs. White: I heard.

Mr. White: [grabs Jason's face by the cheeks] Listen, mister! I'm doing this for your benefit now you shut your trap and find that lint! Oh my god, oh! I can practically feel it burning a hole through my sweater!

      Mrs. White: Oh!

Mr. White: Look up higher, Jason! Listen to me, I just told you it was on my sweater!

Mrs. White: Take it easy puddin', I'm right here!

Mr. White: Look! Somewhere here on my torso, Jason! For crying out loud, find it! Ah, god, I feel like I've got a scorpion on me!

      Mrs. White: Are you alright?

Mr. White: No, I am not, Rita! What were we thinking? I mean, lint can consist of any number of disgusting things like flea eggs and pubic hair. And now it's on me and this little pea-brain can't even find it!

      Edie: [whispering] Get it, Jason.

Mr. White: [shaking Jason by the shoulders] Hurry up and find it before I'm completely disgusted!

Mrs. White: Oh little boy can't you see my husband is in agony? Now you get it!

Mr. White: [still shaking Jason] Find it!

      Mrs. White: Get it!

      Edie: Get it!

Mr. White: [still shaking Jason] Find it!

      Edie: Get it!

Mr. White: [still shaking Jason] Yes, find it!

      Edie: Get it, Jason! No!

Mrs. White: [Jason vomits all over Mr. and Mrs. White as they scream in disgust] Tomato sauce, oh!
