The Gulshan Grover Somy Ali affair came to a end during the making of the film. Somy would tell lies to the unit saying Gulshan Grover was chasing her and harassing her. She made it seem like Gulshan was running after her and she was not interested. Saif Ali Khan finally had enough of the stories and confronted Gulshan. Saif told Gulshan to back off and stop bugging Somy Ali. Saif verbally trashed Gulshan saying Somy was stressed from his behavior. This is when Gulshan had enough and broke down . He showed Saif all the love letters Somy Ali had written him . He also told Saif that he kept quiet about the affair because he did not want to ruin Somy's name. Saif was shocked out of his mind. Mithun Chakraborthy was furious about the situation and demanded Somy Ali come and explain herself. When Somy arrived to the sets,Saif Ali Khan blew up at her for lieing. Saif said that Gulshan was keeping quite to save her reputation and she was taking advantage of that. Saif then yelled at Somy and told her never ever to speak to him again.

Saif stated he did the film for emotional reasons. It was because Umesh Mehra had launched him in Aashiq Awaara. He did not even read the script of the film.
A instrumental horn part at 1:13, of the song "Reshmi Zulfien" from Indrajeet, was inspired by the intro tune of the song "Tied Up" by Yello. The same horn tune was recreated at 0:18, for the song "Mera Yaar Aa Gaya Hain" from Yaar Gaddar. The song "Tied Up" by Yello can be heard in the back ground when Vindu Dara Singh enters the bar and talks to Gurbachan. This was in the movie Karan.(1994).
