The longest-running cast member (apart from Kevin Kopelow) as of April 2005 was Josh Server, who was on the show from the beginning until the full cast change.
Emma Stone revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (2014) that when she was 12 years old, she auditioned unsuccessfully for the relaunched series during an open call. She thought that prepared sketches would be given to the potential candidates to read from in the audition room. However, five minutes before she entered the room, she was told that she needed to come up with three original characters. One of them was a cheerleader that couldn't spell what she was cheering, and another was a babysitter who is possessed. Years later, Stone would go on to star in Easy A (2010) alongside Amanda Bynes, who was a cast member from seasons 3-6.
