Die Harald Schmidt Show (1995)

Die Harald Schmidt Show

Best in German Late Night Comedy

It's the best, and it'll always be. Harald Schmidt is the first one in German TV to have a Late Night Talk Show, and though there are more shows planned, I'm sure that his will stay the best one. Not without reason Schmidt is called "Dirty Harry".

This show can best be compared with "Late Night with Conan O'Brien", so if you like that show, you'll certainly also like the "Harald Schmidt Show" (nevertheless you should speak German).

Germans don't know who Letterman is????

This guy just imitates David Letterman. He moves and talks like Dave and even wears the same double breasted suits. He does the exact same facial expressions and it's extremely bizarre.

Great, still, sometimes

Between 1995 and 2000 the Schmidt Show was just great. But now it becomes more and more boring. Well, I guess that's "art". Maybe his writers run out of jokes. Only the first 5 minutes are really funny. The rest of the show you see Schmidt talking with Andrack about some stuff. Then some starlets nobody knows walk in and talk about some stuff.
