In December 2003 Harald Schmidt announced the ending of the show (although he called it a "creative pause"). This was very surprising because he said several times before that he wanted to do the show for as long as possible. It is still not clear why he cancelled the show, although rumors are that he disliked the new Sat1 Chief.
Harald Schmidt got 40.000 Euro per Show (2003), the production company 60.000 Euro.
In the last show Harald Schmidt and his crew performed a scene from the play "Endgame" by Samuel Beckett.
