Billy Crystal and Debra Winger in Forget Paris (1995)

Trivia

Forget Paris

Edit
The film provides a credit for the "lighting of the Eiffel Tower." According to Billy Crystal, Paris officials required the credit in order to allow filming that showed the tower.
The film includes on-the-court scenes with real-life basketball stars Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Sean Elliott, and David Robinson among others. Star and co-creator Billy Crystal grew up with Abdul-Jabbar, played basketball as a youth, and is a longtime fan of the Los Angeles Clippers plus a regular attendee of their games.
After this movie, Debra Winger took herself out of the limelight of top movie roles and stopped acting altogether for about six years. She later said she'd been thinking about quitting and had wanted to spend time with her dying mother.
Julie Kavner, Dan Castellaneta and Joe Mantegna, all voice actors for The Simpsons (1989), appear in this movie.
Like what happens in the movie, Billy Crystal and his wife Janice Crystal were hanging out in a restaurant with friends when they got the idea for the film. They were reliving funny moments and talking about the realities of marriage (after the honeymoon is over). In creating this film, Crystal was joined by writers Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel, and long-time collaborator Rob Reiner.
