Since its first aired in 2002, The Bachelor has been one of the biggest reality TV franchises. One of the most consistent yet controversial parts of the reality show is the Fantasy Suites.
However, this all changed with Joan Vassos as the first Golden Bachelorette. The Fantasy Suites were created for contestants on the dating show to form a deeper connection without the cameras being there.
Usually, the lead Bachelor or Bachelorette invites each of their final three picks to stay overnight in this private room. Similar to the Hideaway on Love Island, the fantasy suite allows couples to enjoy one-on-one time with each other without audiences watching.

Emily in Paris season 4 has officially come to an end with the release of part 2 on Sept. 12. Once again, the season finds Emily bumbling through professional and personal woes, but she does so with a bubbly spirit, a great fashion sense, and a catch soundtrack to back her up! And thankfully, there's a new Mindy original in season 4 part 2 for all of us to obsess over.
In the season 4 finale, Mindy joins Emily in Rome and hops on a piano in the piazza to play on an original song she has been writing. When the song goes viral online thanks to a tourist's video, Emily later names the song "Beautiful Ruins," and that's really what the song is: beautiful! Ashley Park couldn't be more talented, and it's so exciting that she sings another original song for the series.

Love Island USA is having its best season yet, so it’s sad to know that only a handful of episodes are left.
The Peacock hit has towered above the reality competition this summer because of its ability to subvert expectations by changing twists compared to previous years.
Sometimes, reality TV formats grow stale because producers are uninterested in switching things up.
However, Love Island USA Season 6 will be memorable for its casting and format, which helped it become one of the best seasons of any reality TV show in recent memory.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Love Island USA is finishing up for the summer very soon.
Now, Peacock has confirmed the news.
When will Love Island USA Season 6 end?

Kendall Washington may be in one of the strongest relationships of Love Island USA Season 6, but he’s quickly losing fans.
Kendall returned from Casa Amor and declared that he only thought about Nicole Jacky while away.
As fans know, he remained loyal to Nicole, but he egged Aaron Evans and Kordell Beckham on their quests to explore connections with the new girls despite leaving relationships back in the main villa.
At the beginning of Tuesday’s new episode of the Peacock hit, Kendall and Nicole were given a night away in the Hideaway, and based on their smiles the next morning, it was a great night.
However, it was inevitable that their night of passion was the calm before the storm because producers went above and beyond to make Kendall look bad during Movie Night.

The drama on Love Island USA Season 6 has been sizzling that the Hideaway has not been featured in the Peacock dating competition.
ITV Entertainment executive producer Simon Thomas revealed in a recent interview the real reason the Islanders have not visited the Hideaway this season.
“We do indeed have a Hideaway in the main villa this season; there just hasn’t been the right opportunity to use it,” Thomas told People.
He continued, “We usually save the Hideaway for when couples are really clicking, but since it’s been such a rollercoaster for the Islanders so far, with a lot of couple-swapping and all the drama that comes with that, the timing has never felt right.”
The Hideaway is a remote area, set apart from the main villa, where coupled Islanders go for some privacy and enjoy each other’s company. For The Bachelor viewers, think of it as the...

David Sanborn, the six time Grammy-winning alto saxophonist who played at Woodstock, composed music for the Lethal Weapon movies, played in the SNL and Late Night with David Letterman bands and worked with everyone from Stevie Wonder to David Bowie, died Sunday afternoon, May 12th, after an extended battle with prostate cancer with complications. He Was 78.
Sanborn’s music is often described “smooth jazz,” but he reportedly rejected that characterization, and one can see why. His lively, iconic sax solo on Bowie’s “Young Americans” is anything but. Sanborn preferred the idea that he “put the saxophone back into rock ’n’ roll.”
Indeed, he worked with a virtual who’s who of rock and R&b legends, including James Brown, Eric Clapton, Roger Daltrey, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, Al Jarreau, George Benson, Elton John, Carly Simon, Linda Ronstadt, Billy Joel, Roger Waters, Steely Dan, the Eagles,...

Dream pop stalwarts Cigarettes After Sex have announced their third album, X’s, due out July 12th via Partisan Records. They’ve also announced an extensive arena tour in support of the impending release.
X’s is Cigarettes After Sex’s first album in five years, and finds vocalist and principal songwriter Greg Gonzalez touching on the sounds of ’70s and ’80s slow-dance pop ballads. As with previous Cigarettes After Sex albums, the lyrics revolve around romance and intimacy, and Gonzalez explores the rise and fall of a four-year relationship throughout.
“The record feels brutal,” Gonzalez says in a statement. “I could sit and talk about this loss to someone, but that wouldn’t scratch the surface. I have to really write about it, sing about it, have the music, and then I can start to analyze and learn from it. Or just relive it—in a good way. I...

The Phantoms episode of Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? was Written by Emilie Black, Narrated by Adam Walton, Edited by Jaime Vazquez, Produced by Andrew Hatfield and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
Ah, the late 1990s, a period of horror renewal, massive hits, and plenty of scares. Well, yes and no. Some films like the Scream franchise hit it big, like really big, and others, not so much. One of the failures of the late 1990s box office is Phantoms (watch it Here) which was considered a massive flop. How did Phantoms become considered one of the biggest flops of its era? Well, it’s a mix of a lot of factors, most of them easily guessed by those who have had the pleasure, or displeasure, of seeing the film. The story here is that of a small town where the whole of the population has vanished,...

When Chris Eyre’s “Smoke Signals” won the audience prize in Sundance 25 years ago, the director thought the kudos would soon lead to a landslide of opportunities for Native talent. Amid a flourishing independent film scene, the road trip dramedy won acclaim and awards as the first feature written, directed and produced by Native filmmakers. But it took two decades, and a pivot to television, for Native voices to finally get a wider chance to be heard.
More than two decades later, Eyre is now an executive producer and director on AMC+’s Navajo noir series “Dark Winds,” based on the Tony Hillerman mystery novels. Longtime Hillerman fans Robert Redford and George R.R. Martin also serve as executive producers. “Dark Winds” premiered in 2022 as a wave of TV Westerns was proving massively popular, and yet, it’s very different from shows like “Yellowstone,” “Joe Pickett,” and “Justified” with its focus on a Native cast,...

Psychological thrillers of the 1990s delve into the darkest aspects of human psychology, tackling topics that may be offensive to some viewers. These films aim to create a lingering sense of horror by exploring real-world themes and relatable relationships, rather than relying on supernatural elements. The best psychological thrillers of the 1990s deliver deeply disturbing surprises, with movies like "Hideaway," "The Bone Collector," and "Sleeping With The Enemy" standing out as some of the most interesting and disturbing examples.
Many of the best psychological thriller movies of the 1990s examine the darkest inner thoughts and impulses of humanity. Not for the faint of heart, this genre and era are known for tackling topics and investigating cases that could be highly offensive to contemporary viewers. While many 1990s thrillers should definitely come with a trigger warning, this is also precisely why certain audiences are drawn to these disturbing films.

While many A-List stars made cameo appearances in Scream 5, Alicia Silverstone's cameo was particularly unique as it was a deep-cut reference to the original 1996 movie. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, Scream 5 picked up 25 years after the original Woodsboro murders and followed a new group of high school students who are obsessed with the Stab movies (a fictional series of slasher movies that are inspired by the Woodsboro killings). However, they soon find themselves in the middle of their own horror movie when their close friend Tara (Jenna Ortega) is attacked by a new Ghostface, leaving everyone fearing for their lives.
While Scream 5 has helped propel some stars further into fame, including Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, and Mason Gooding, it's also known for its A-List cameos. Alicia Silverstone also had a brief cameo in Scream 5; however, her inclusion in the movie is quite a...

As Final Fantasy 16 proves to be one of the series' most ambitious releases to date, it's worth comparing the game's size to the previous mainline entry - the open-world Final Fantasy 15. With a darker tone, more adult themes, and a full focus on fast-paced action combat, FF16 is arguably a larger departure from Final Fantasy's traditional Jrpg roots than any other mainline entry before it, even in a series that tends to reinvent itself as much as Final Fantasy does. However, as the game follows in the footsteps of other heavily action-focused games like Devil May Cry, it's also very linear - which impacts the size of its map.
Although the various worlds of Final Fantasy games tend to play an important role in each entry's narrative, how large the maps are can change drastically between releases. The maps of FF10 and FF12, for example, are fairly large by...

“I once thought that there were no second acts in American lives,” F. Scott Fitzgerald famously wrote, in his notes on The Last Tycoon. To which Cher Horowitz in Clueless would say: “Ugh, as if!”

It’s summer, everyone! And with its relatively sparse list of new releases for July 2021, Hulu seems to be subtlety imploring its subscribers to go outside.
Don’t get us wrong: Hulu’s library offerings get a big upgrade this month. July 1 sees the arrival of great films like Galaxy Quest, Fargo, and Caddyshack. Bill and Ted Face the Music premieres on July 2 and its followed by Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar on July 9. Not bad stuff! It’s just that, outside of the library titles, there isn’t much to go off of.
Hulu’s only major original release this month is the FX on Hulu production American Horror Stories on July 15. As its name implies, the show is a spinoff of American Horror Story and will feature self-contained horror episodes rather than a season-long arc. New superlatives are needed to express just how good is this wonderful Americana musical from the 1950s boom years. The Broadway creator tapped Hollywood’s most qualified (and creative) director of musicals for the stage to screen conversion, retaining much of the original New York talent. Doris Day is a sensation as Babe Williams, whose romantic and labor problems play out at a sleepwear factory. The color design is a delight, every song is a keeper, and the talent on view makes one want to clap, sixty-five years later.

Having acted longer than some of his “Wonder Park” cast members have been alive, Ken Jeong, who jokingly described himself as “the dumbest judge on ‘The Masked Singer’ and the dumbest guy on ‘Community,'” passed down some valuable wisdom about the entertainment industry to his young co-stars.
“It sounds cliché, but the older I get, I still maintain a spirit of fun on set and at work. It’s just like any job, when you get there that day — just have fun. It actually matters,” he told Variety at the film’s premiere in Los Angeles on Sunday.
“Wonder Park” follows a young girl named June (voiced by Brianna Denski) who spent her childhood dreaming up a fantastical amusement park with zany rides and talking animals. After experiencing hardships and losing her creative spark growing up, she discovers the park actually exists just as she needs it most. Twelve-year-old...

Colin Thiele’s 1963 children’s novel about a boy and his beloved pelican receives tender and touching treatment in its second film adaptation. Adding a contemporary wrap-around story to the 1950s-set tale, and wringing well-judged changes to Henri Safran’s much-loved 1976 film, this version of “Storm Boy,” directed by excellent Aussie small-screen helmer Shawn Seet, has the emotional heft and visual splendor to win the hearts of domestic and international family audiences. Sony will release the film Down Under on Jan. 17, during the summer school holiday season. U.S. theatrical release via Good Deed Entertainment is scheduled for April.
In purely cinematic terms “Storm Boy” has all the ingredients for commercial success. How well it performs will depend at least partly on public response to controversy surrounding top-billed star Geoffrey Rush, also one of the film’s executive producers. Australia’s Federal Court will soon deliver a decision on the...

As The Gifted digs into characters from the fringes of the X-Men world, we salute some of the franchise's finest humans...
The X-Men, as a franchise, is all about mutants trying to peacefully coexist with (and protect) the humans that hate and fear them. This means that there are a lot of human characters in the franchise – some of whom hate and fear the X-Men, and some of whom are the haters and fearers.
Fox’s new X-Men show, The Gifted, has already shown that it’s willing to use characters from the fringes of the X-Men franchise, and furthermore, unlike the X-Men movies, humans and mutants working together is built into its premise. The Strucker family isn’t 100% mutant, after all. (Well, so far as we know.) That got us wondering: aside from the ones who have appreated in the movies, which human characters from the...

It's strange how intermittently bestselling novelist Dean Koontz has been adapted, and how those adaptations—from the early Ben Affleck joint "Phantoms" to the Jeff Goldblum starring psychological thriller "Hideaway"—have been almost uniformly horrible. Koontz doesn't have the way with characters or the homespun prose of his contemporary Stephen King, but he sells almost as many books. And most are written in a singularly straightforward, cinematic style that should make big screen adaptations easy and accessible (his late '90s techno-thriller "Dark Rivers of the Heart" was the best movie James Cameron never made). So calling "Odd Thomas" the best Dean Koontz adaptation yet feels like damning it with faint praise, but it's true. Too bad it's barely getting released. Koontz's string of bad luck continues. "Odd Thomas" is based on the first in a series of books starring the titular character, a small-town fry cook whose abilities to...

On ABC's Wednesday sitcom "Suburgatory," which launched a new season in January, Jeremy Sisto plays George Altman, an architect and single father of a teen daughter (Jane Levy) who moves to the suburbs to give her a better life. He discovers life there is different, but whether it's better is a work in progress.
In real life, Sisto is a 39-year-old father of two: daughter Charlie and baby son Bastian. He got married to wife Addie a few months after his daughter was born, but Sisto has no regrets about taking the plunge.
"I love my family," he tells Zap2it. "I have a great wife. It took me a while to figure that out and commit, but now I'm really happy I did. She's a human being, and we're committed to each other. It's a nice thing. The kids are just amazing. It's a different level."

It’s been nearly two decades since Cher and Elton crossed paths at a trendy high school in Beverly Hills in Clueless. A lot has changed since then for the stars of the cult teen comedy, who reunite on tonight’s episode of Suburgatory. And the context of those changes still shock even Alicia Silverstone.
“When I first watched Suburgatory, I was so excited for him and proud of him and thought, ‘Wow, he’s just a whole different guy,’” Silverstone says. “I mean, we did a movie called Hideaway (1995). He played a psycho-killer and I was Jeff Goldblum’s daughter.

It’s been almost 17 years since Elton left Cher stranded in the Valley in front of a liquor store in 1995′s cult classic Clueless. It wasn’t the best way to win a girl’s heart, but luckily, he’s getting a second chance.
Reunited and playing love interests on Suburgatory, Jeremy Sisto and Alicia Silverstone finally “get serious,” the actor tells People while on the set of their skit, which nods to the infamous Clueless scene.
“We met at the farmer’s market and we have insane chemistry,” says Sisto of their roles on his new show.

Cher (Alicia Silverstone) and Elton (Jeremy Sisto) may have not ended up together in the 1995 teen classic "Clueless," but nearly two decades later, the actors who played them are falling head over heels for each other.
The two reunite on ABC's freshman comedy "Suburgatory" (Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. Et) and Silverstone told HuffPost TV that she and Sisto picked up right where they left off.
"The first day we saw each other, we just had so much fun together," Silverstone said via phone.
Sisto -- who played the biggest snob at "Clueless'" fictional Beverly Hills high school -- now stars on "Suburgatory" as George, a single dad who moves from New York to the suburbs with his teen daughter Tessa (Jane Levy). On this week's episode, entitled "Entering Eden," George finds himself immediately attracted to Silverstone's very health-conscious character Eden at the Chatswin Farmer's Market.
