Marlon Wayans starred opposite his brother Damon in the film Mo Money, a part intended for Kadeem Hardison to play. Damon later stated that his mother made him give the role to Marlon.
Shawn Wayans was considered for the role of Antoine Tyler. If he would have gotten the part, he would have co-starred with his real-life brother, Marlon.
Kadeem Hardison has long working history with the Wayans family. Both Keenan Ivory and Damon appeared in the same episode of A Different World which starred Kadeem Hardison and featured Kim Wayans in a recurring role. Hardison also appeared in I'm Gonna Git U Sucka which featured Keenan Ivory, Damon, Kim, Shawn and Marlon.
Though they didn't share scenes, Harold Sylvester portrays Marlon Wayans and Kadeem Hardison's father in the beginning of the film. Harold Sylvester also played Kadeem Hardison's father in the NBC sitcom A Different World.
