Drew Barrymore and Matt Damon in Titan A.E. (2000)

FAQ

Titan A.E.

FAQ

The Drej are an extraterrestrial race made of pure energy. They're driven to destroy all humankind, and almost succeed, because humans have become too advanced with technology.

When the rebuilt ship in the drifter colony fail to launch Akima asks Cale if she should "get out and push." Princess Leia asks the same question to Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) when Han is having problems getting the to take off from Hoth.

When the drifter ship is first shown, a piece of it resembles the Death Star.

There's a possible slave-woman being sold, similar to Princess Leia in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983).

In the scene of Cale seeing Akima for the first time he is whistling Sabu's song from the 1939 The Thief of Bagdad (1940) "I want to be a bandit, can't you understand it?"
