The show used to feature themes such as family reunions, makeovers, conquering phobias, rebellious teens, celebrity guests, and fulfilling wishes for disabled or dying guests, among other things.
At the end of the 7th season, Maury Povich had chose to end his longterm contract with Paramount (later CBS Paramount Television, then CBS Television Distribution, now CBS Media Ventures) for Studios USA (later Universal, now NBCUniversal) and the show had underwent changes. According to the Library of Congress Copyright Catalog, Paramount retained the rights to the first seven seasons of the show, rights which were subsequently transferred to CBS in 2006.
The Maury Show now explores compelling relationships and family issues including: sexual infidelity, out-of-control teens, domestic violence, paternity testing and much more! You'll also find exclusive footage of guest stories involving baby daddy drama, lie detector testing, cheaters and everything in between!
