All the bad guys in the film were played by stuntmen.
The make, model and color of the car that Jesse Crowder (Fred Williamson) drives was a black 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2 coupé . It was actually purchased by the production for only about US $200.
The woman at the gas station asking for directions was actually someone who was there at the time. Fred Williamson asked for her to be in the movie.
Most of the film's dialogue was actually all ad-libbed. The only specific script for the film was just outlines for all the key sequences.
Some bloody violence had to be cut out to secure a R rating in the USA. The DVD by Code Red is the complete 78 minute "director's cut" with all the violence intact.
