In Brazil, it was announced as "Jaspion 2" despite not being a sequel from Jaspion (1985).
In the dub, however, the main character still was called Spielvan. Toys and merchandising were sold as "Jaspion 2", with the same logo from the Juspion line.
The main actor, Hiroshi Watari, had an important role in the previous metal hero series, Juspion (1985) and also was the main hero in Sharivan (1982).
