Len Carlson in The Raccoons (1985)

Trivia

The Raccoons

Edit
Nearly 30 years on, the creator is thinking about a revival of the series.
Originally, the series continued the premise of the preceding TV specials of a world of intelligent animals that was either hidden from the human inhabitants of the Evergreen Forest, or was perhaps in a dreamworld. However, the premise changes from the second season with the human characters dropped from the series and the story world now only of largely intelligent humanoid animals with a sophisticated modern society. For instance, Shaeffer is changed from a dog who lives with humans and becomes humanoid away from them to a bipedal business owner with his own backstory of athletics.
Michael Magee modeled Cyril Sneer's thin, reedy voice after that of a schoolmaster he disliked.
This Canadian animated TV series features the adventures of a family of Raccoons and their friends. It ran in Canada from November 11, 1985 to March 19, 1991, and on the Disney Channel from July 4, 1985 to August 28, 1992 in the USA.
All but three episodes have a exclamation mark (!) in their titles title. These are Surprise Attack (1985), A Night to Remember (1985) and The Evergreen Grand Prix (1985).
