Writer Marc Cushman was disappointed that the title of his script - "Sunset Strip" - was changed, so he spoofed Sunset Boulevard (1950) again in 2002, this time doing the directing, and keeping the title he wanted, and getting his perfect William Holden-type actor - 'Randy Spears'.
