Dave Tendlar's animation crew got the credit for animation, but this cartoon was actually animated by Tom Johnson's crew.

Local and state fairs were a popular attraction cat the time, and most of the entertainment shown here was based on actual attractions patrons enjoyed. The musical State Fair, which might have helped inspire this short, had been released just two years before, in 1945.

This short was made in Cinecolor, one of the processes at the time that was similar to Technicolor.

A taffy pulling machine is seen at the candy booth. Taffy needs to be 'pulled' as part of the finishing process. In the days before mechanization, the task was done by hand, between two participants.
