Adrian Edmondson and Rik Mayall in Bottom Live (1993)

Trivia

Bottom Live

Edit
The live stage show has strong use of the F word. In the BBC sitcom, Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson were not allowed to use the F word in the sitcom. However, in one show Hole (1995) Eddie uses the F word, but it is bleeped out. The first and only time in the sitcom. Since "Bottom Live" was a live stage show, Rik and Ade decided to get away with it.
Adrian Edmondson accidentally hit Rik Mayall on the nose for real, causing Edmondson to break character to say "You alright? I actually hit you on the nose, didn't I?"
Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson did the live stage show between the 2nd and 3rd series of Bottom (1991).
Eddie bashing on the receiver to dial a phone was actually a valid way of entering numbers. Tap once for 1, twice for 2, etc. This is how pulse dialing worked.
Richie pulling his inflating doll by the arm, causing it to tip over bury it's face in his clothed groin, making it look as if it was performing oral sex on Richie was accidental and was unscripted and you can tell by Rik Mayall's reaction and Rik Mayall remained in character and improvised the line "You're keen tonight, Monica!?!".
