The only Dragon Ball Z movie to not feature Gohan. The franchise's protagonist Goku only appears in the closing scene.
Broly doesn't physically appear in the movie but makes cameo's during flashbacks. He won't appear again until Dragon Ball Super: Broly (2018) which was released years later.
