Chaotic fun but focused and direct

This was a fun one. For a film that seemingly has the whole universe in chaos, the focus and direction are quite crisp. I really like how the Z fighters are fighting simultaneously in different realms without even knowing it. Janemba starting out as childish threat is a great fake-out and also a lot of fun. His dimensional powers make for some awesome and challenging fights for Goku. Vegeta's arrival is abrupt but welcomed as he never fails to give me chills. "I can't run Kakarot. If I did, then life too would be a h**. If I run, life will be a h***. If I die, it will be a h***. So I only have one choice. I'll do it (fusion)" Goku and Vegeta's conversation inside the spikes is some of their most heartfelt writing to date. Janemba finally finds them but my boy Pikkon intervenes (who somehow discovered Janemba's weakness is bullying? 😂) And finally we get to see some fusion but my is it glorious. This goes so hard I ran it back 5 times!

"I am not Goku or Vegeta! I am Gogeta! It's over, Janemba! I've come for you! Every force you create has an echo! Your own bad energy will be your undoing!" 🤘 🤘 The score, animation, and voice acting are perfect. Also I love Goten and Trunks cosmically just being like "Hey our dads fused. Shall we?"

    Best of the Z Movies!!!

This is by far the greatest of all the DBZ Movies. It has the best animation, full of color and life. It has a really awesome villian who is NOT named Janemba by the way. That happens to be a curse word he says, not his name. ANYWAY. This villian is a demon with an awesome sword that can slice through anything. Goku and Vegeta fuse into GOGETA and it all takes place in the other world. It was the first Z movie to use CG (Computer Generated) to assist in the animating process. Which makes this movie, when viewed in a good high quality video format (NOT crappy fansubs), a beauty. So much detail in everything.

It's also got a ton of comedy in it as well. Like Hitler trying to take the world over again while Goten and Trunks try to stop him with ease. Vegeta and Goku also fail to fuse correctly the first time they try and end up as a fat failed fusion who can't do anything but RUN!! Oh, and fart! lol. It's a crazy movie and one of the best and longest. Great Stuff! You GOTTA Watch it if your a true DBZ fan.

    Great animation movie!!!

If your an animation fan you've probably watched or have heard of Dragon ball Z. If you are one of those people I definitely recommend that you see this DBZ movie. This movie is filled with humor, action, and a lot of new things. The action in the movie is total nonstop action, and the humor is pretty funny. Animation fans will definitely be pleased by this movie, I know I was. The many new things include new fusions, new characters, and new enemies. There are many instances where the humor is very funny. The movie has just about every character in Dragonball Z. Again this movie will be great for animation lovers like me. I give this movie 9 stars out of ten.

One of the best! In Japanese and in English

I see nobody has added a comment who has seen the 2006 release by Funimation. This movie was great in Japanese and awesome in English. With a great soundtrack to it. The story you'll see from the other comments. I also recommend the English. The movie finally has Goku after a long period of three movies, so finally you get to see Goku kicking ass again. Also this is the first movie you will see Super saiyan 3. Another great feature from this movie is you'll get to see Vegeta and Goku working together again, not since movie 6. The ending and how Goku and Vegeta figure out what to do to take Janemba down is perfect for the movie. The only reason I give this movie a 9 out of 10 is because it is very trippy, if you will. The basic plot of this movie is the should cleanser tanks for hell have exploded, leaving years of soul waste puring out everywhere, turning a young worker in to a fat tub of lard known as Janempa. It also changes the other world around in which there are jellybean looking barriers everywhere, and part of the reason I say it's trippy is because to break the barrier, you have to throw harsh words at it, not attacks. I found that pretty bizarre...Plus Janemba/Janempa is just another Kid Buu basically because he has pretty much no personality and he doesn't even talk. I like when the enemies actually have character. When the Soul cleansing machine explodes, all hell breaks lose, literally. Anyone from the other world can come down to earth and anyone living can go to the other world. Of course Frieza comes back with other saga enemies and some old movie characters. Also, Hitler and his army come back, which I found pretty funny. Of course Gohan, Videl, Trunks, and Goten all come to the scene, with not much of a challenge. Another thing that disappointed me was you don't get to see any other old enemies fighting. It's hard to say the time when this movie took place. It's obviously not in the 7 years apart because Goku says he has already fought Buu and Vegeta is dead. So I don't really think about the time it took place. Since a lot of the movies don't fit. Overall this movie is still really good and has great animation. I recommend you buy it 99.9%

    Janemba, Janemba Janemba

Actually, most Dragon Ball Z movies are very average this one is not here, however he has the same shortage. for a real movie, the run length is just too short and does not leave enough room for more.

This one is without much hesitation one of the better films and even belongs to my favorites. Because this film contains exciting fights great atmosphere a super interesting drawing style comma above all the representations and drawings on earth are very unusual Dragon Ball but still so beautifully stylized that they are fun. In addition, this movie has something that was unfortunately in Dragon Ball Z too short humor and I like that.

In addition, it is very straightforward and visually well explained so that we can understand quickly and for everyone is that is one thing I am more of filming desires and the self-playing live action films goes down the first five minutes are so self-explanatory and so simple for my taste, a little bit fast, but so unproblematic that I really ask the question why you are so rarely used.

Actually, this movie is a must have for all Dragonball Z fans as well because he was a much better ending to the Boo saga concept and the idea and in addition I have to say Janemba is one of my favorite movie villains ever and that Concept is so unique in that you can interpret so much that I am completely fascinated and unfortunately a bit disappointed that it is so rarely shown.
