Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku (1990)

Trivia

Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku

Edit
This is Akira Toriyama's favorite Dragon Ball Z movie.
In the original Japanese version, Bardock's crew had no idea why Frieza wants to capture Kanassa. But in the English dub, it is stated that Frieza wants to capture Kanassa because those who dwell there develop psychic powers.
While generally Saiyans' eyes are pitch black, Fasha's eyes appear to be purple. This makes her the only pure-blooded Saiyan seen in the series with an eye color other than black.
Although it bears the Dragon Ball Z (1989) logo and opening, this story is a prequel to Dragon Ball (1986) and takes place 12 years before the beginning of the Dragon Ball saga.
In this special, Vegeta is shown to have been on a far-off world at the time of Planet Vegeta's destruction. However in the Dragon Ball Z (1989) episode "Fighting Power: One Million??" (Japanese title: "Super Transformation of the Nightmare!! Frieza's 1,000,000 Combat Power") Vegeta is said and shown to have been on Frieza's spaceship at the time of Planet Vegeta's destruction.
