Waheeda Rehman in Khamoshi (1969)

Trivia

Khamoshi

Edit
Waheeda Rehman recommend Rajesh Khanna for Khamoshi. Moushmi Chatterji said on of her interviews. She saw Rajesh Khanna for the first time on the set of Khamoshi and she told I had never seen such a handsome and charming face in her life
The director wanted Dev Anand for the film. But Waheeda wanted Rajesh Khanna.
Waheeda Rehman suggested the film be made in black and white because it needed a stark light and shade.
Hemant Kumar's composition of the song "Tum Pukar Lo" from KHAMOSHI (1970) was again used for the title track of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's tele-serial TALAASH, "Jeevan Ek Pyaas Hai, Sabhi Ko Kuchh Talaash Hai" in the early 90s.
Dharmendra plays an important supporting role in the movie yet his face is never shown in the movie. In the song " time pukaar lo" camera shows only his back, while he is singing the song.
