Chiquititas (1995)

Trivia

Chiquititas

Edit
The lead Belén Fraga, played by Romina Yan is replaced by three different characters in subsequent seasons: Ana (Grecia Colmenares), Luz (Romina Gaetani), and Mili (Agustina Cherri).
Cris Morena is a huge fan of musicals and borrowed elements from Mary Poppins (1964), The Sound of Music (1965) and Annie (1982) for the series' concept.
Was a TV hit in Israel (as well as Rebelde Way (2002), years later), with some of the cast members being part of a stage adaptation of this series for that country.
Alongside Romina Yan, Jugate conmigo (1991) cast members Trinidad Alcorta (Seasons 1-2), Luciano Castro (Season 1), Octavio Borro (Season 1), Mariano 'Chino' Fernández (Season 1) and Michel Brown (Seasons 2-3) were all featured.
The final nine episodes were aired weekly (on Mondays) instead of daily. Despite of being canceled, the seventh season still had a correspondent concert at Gran Rex, with star Romina Yan returning as Belén Fraga. Her return was a tie-in for the feature film, Chiquititas: Rincón de luz (2001).
