Rainha da Sucata

Edit
Creator Silvio de Abreu briefly dropped out of the series after the death of his brother. Gilberto Braga took over for nine episodes.
Regina Duarte controversially supports former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, which broke major ties between Duarte and most of other Globo TV veteran actors and personalities like her. During a TV drama recap, Globo's only mention of Duarte was the scene her character Maria do Carmo is pranked with a garbage dump, from this series.
Silvio de Abreu's debut in prime time TV dramas, after a number of hits in the 7pm time slot.
The Sucata nightclub building is actually the Cetenco Plaza, located at the Paulista Avenue 1842.
In Silvio de Abreu's original draft, Ms. Armenia was an Italian woman named Giovanna. He wanted Nair Bello to portray her, but Bello was part of SBT (a different network) at the time. Aracy Balabanian was cast instead, and the character background was changed to Armenian, inspired by her own roots. Ms. Armenia would return in Deus Nos Acuda (1992).
