Wieck, the Nazi played by Ben Becker, is a fictionalized SS Col. Kurt Becher, who was acquitted in Nuremberg of war crimes and who ended up the richest man in Germany.
The film has been running daily at the Academy Arts Centre Theatre in Christchurch, New Zealand since 2001--and people must still book in advance because it's sold out--and shown in a small 11-seat theater.
Real-life father and son Rolf and Ben Becker portray Hans Eberhard Wieck at different ages.
