Jeevan Mrityu (1970)

Trivia

Jeevan Mrityu

Edit
Remake of The Count of Monte Cristo.
The movie established Dharmendra and Rakhee as one of the favorite jodis of the 1970s and the song "Jhilmil Sitaroon" beautifully picturized on Dharmendra and rakhee was a rage.
Dil-e-Nadaan Ko Jeene Ki Hasrat Ho Gayi Tumse" from CHUNARIYA (1948) and "Zamane Mein Aji Aisey Kayi Nadaan Hotey Hain" in JEEVAN MRITYU (1970) sound the same.
This was actress Raakhee's debut Hindi film. She was offered the female lead role in "Ittefaq" (1969) but had to decline it since she was under contract with Rajshri Films for this film.
Zamane Mein Aji Aise Koi Naadaan Hote Hain. This song drew inspiration from Hansraj Behl's "Dil-E-Nashad Ko Jeene Ki Hasrat Ho Gayi Tumse" ("Chunaria", 1948). Both songs were sung by Lata Mangeshkar.
