There was later a shelved film, "Rishta Ho To Aisa" (Do Bhai) (1994) got completed and but not released. It starred Jeetendra, Rishi Kapoor,Juhi Chawla, Sujata Mehta, Swapna, Paresh Rawal, Ashok Saraf, Kader Khan. The music was by Laxmikant -Pyarelal, the producer was Marco Enterprises, and the director was Kalptaru.
Javed Akhtar stated that Salim Khan originally wrote the script of only 1 character. Brij took it and made it into the script of 2 brothers and ruined the script.
