An amusing and enjoyable movie that appeals to both sexes

A very amusing and enjoyable movie. My wife and I both liked it very much, which is rare! The main character has an incredible chain of unfortunate events which somehow remains believable. Not a profound movie, but the nice thing is it isn't trying to be. All in all a good laugh!

tried hard and failed

This film was a winner at three different film festivals and it is incredibly difficult to see why. The story was not terrible but rather formulaic therefore if it had been made better it could have been a hit. However the acting, the filming, the lighting, the editing all fall miserably short. Whilst I understand it was made on a small budget it reminded me of a bad eighties TV-movie rather than an award winning independent film from the late nineties. It is not the worst film I have ever seen but rather a film that was incredibly mundane a veritable a non-entity. Even simply spending three dollars to see it was much too much and sitting through until the end was a fabulous sleep inducer. You will find certain moments within the film amusing and a breath of fresh air but in the long run it is not memorable at all.

A hysterically well-acted and scripted film, with future star-turns by a fine cast.

Every now and again, an unsung film is found that's like a fine diamond. A true find, "To Hell With Love" is actually one of the funnier films of the year. Who can't identify with the plight of this main character? "To Hell With Love" signals the emergence of a true talent in writer/director Karl Kozak, who has fashioned this slice-of-life tale with great humor and poignancy.

Witty, charming, engaging, and approachable indie!!!

I love finding indie films that are downright funny, with hilarious situational comedy, witty dialog, and engaging, charming acting. So many first-run films are just plain boring, and too many indie films are unapproachable and self-important (like an earlier post about this film: phew!). This film hit on all cylinders, from start to finish. I've recommended it to many others, and they've all agreed.

I see from other comments that this is Carl Kozak's first film. That explains why it relies on story, dialog, and acting, rather than eye candy and elaborate effects. It delivers the same feeling of satisfaction as watching a classic romantic comedy. I can't remember the last first-run movie that i liked as much.

And besides, you'll score points with your friends for finding such a obscure winner.

A great way to spend an evening. Best if viewed with people who like to laugh :-).

A funny and entertaining movie with bright future for the actors and the director.

For being the director's first movie with a limited budget, "To hell with Love" was entertaining and was a barrel of laughs. I really enjoyed the characters, and the story was easy to follow and well planned out. I see a lot of promises among the actors and looking forward to the future movies by Mr. Kozak.

Bravo!

This was an awesome little romantic comedy with a ton of cool little twists and turns. Nice chemistry and acting, especially the guy who played Nick - he stole every scene. And I wanted to see more of Bobby Brooklyn - he was funniest thing. It reminded me of the Brothers McMullen - but more for women and more fun. Bravo!

funny, clever, and all around warm fuzzy feeling

It made my wife and I laugh & smile...best $7 investment i made in a long time. It goes to show that you don't have to spend a lot of money to make a good film. Thanks for a good time.
