Joe Bob Briggs (John Bloom) took over permanent hosting duties of Monstervision in 1995 after Ted Turner had seen his Joe Bobs Drive-In show on The Movie Channel. Briggs remained the host until the show was cancelled in 2000.
TNT's 100% Weird gets mistaken for TNT's Monstervision (1991). Both programs were on the same network, sometimes back-to-back on the same evening. Sometimes both shown on different nights, like Friday and Saturday evenings. Monstervision usually was hosted by Penn & Teller (early episodes) or Joe Bob Briggs (John Bloom). TNT 100% Weird had no host.
