    This Movie Rocks!!!

Okay, in my opinion, this movie is great. It has blood, violence, goth, and vampires. Not to mention very sexy women. These are all the components to a great horror movie like this one. RBS has great acting, a strong storyline, and an awkward twist at the end. I believe that everyone should see this movie at least twice.

    Decent independent vampire flick.

I know(after reading some reviews on this page)that most horror fans don't appreciate the value of this film and call it trash, but they don't know what they're talking about.OK,I admit that the story is pretty lame and the acting is also rather bad,but "Razor Blade Smile" is sexy, gory and highly entertaining bloodbath.Eileen Daly, who plays a fanged assassin Lilith Silver, shines in her first leading role.Man,she is hot!Oh,and there's also a blood-soaked lesbian scene that would make Jean Rollin proud. The late David Warbeck(Lucio Fulci's "The Beyond"),who sadly died after making this film is another reason to watch "Razor Blade Smile".Plenty of sex, violence, blood and macabre humour, but the ending is kinda' lame.So if you like vampire flicks, you could do a lot worse than this.Recommended!

    When she fancies a pint...

... she takes a liter (or two). Blood, that is. "Drink and heal" is vamp Lilith's code of survival. You can pump her full of lead till she's leaking like a sieve, but oh... just let her replenish her vital fluids through siphoning off some unlucky victim's fresh blood, and Bingo! The babe's back in business!

In spite of a few of its flaws, I couldn't help but like this movie. It is glaringly low-budget in places, and there are a few loose ends that are jarringly ineffective in the movie (example: the police detectives are questioning Lilith in New Scotland Yard (whatever happened to Old Scotland Yard, by the way?) and they have this tape recorder running, and the camera keeps doing close-ups of the tape... as if to imply, "Stay tuned! This little cassette tape somehow has real pending significance!" or something like that. Well, Lilith beats the rap so to speak, she walks out of questioning, and the one detective simply rips the tape out of the recorder and tears it up. So it is all just wasted suspense, leading you nowhere. I felt cheated.)

I also think there are a few areas of shameless padding (way too many shots of Lilith baring her pretty white fangs, for example). But all in all a very enjoyable flick. Thanks to the low budget, the production values actually lead to lots of groovy atmosphere of the "camp horror" variety, plus the movie boasts characters that are just compellingly 3-dimensional enough to latch on to and really get into. I also liked all the attempts at humor - the Chicken Vindaloo joke was cute!

Finally, I liked to read herein how other viewers from Britain could personally relate to those rocky outcroppings where the big gun battle takes place. As for me, it reminds me of the movie The Deer Hunter, with Robert Deniro. I have actually hiked in and around the very rocky outcroppings in the movie where they show Deniro hunting (it's supposed to be in Pennsylvania, but was actually filmed around Mt. Baker, Washington State.) So, fellow rock-relaters, I salute you.

low budget vampireflick but an instant cult-classic

Well, Razor Blade Smile obviously is a low budget horror/action flick. But seeing Eileen Daly as her alter ego Lilith Silver is something to tell your friends about. It won't be long before they knock on your door to see this cool white face with red lips and impressive fangs. Razor Blade Smile is a small production so don't expect mega-special effects by the ILM boys but some nice camera-angles, a few colouring filters in the right place and wildly edited actionscenes. The acting, though not very impressive sufficiently reflects the fun in making this movie. Don't take it too seriously, the actors don't so just enjoy 93 minutes of popcornfun. Razor Blade Smile is destined to be a cult-classic, amongst Vampiremovie-lovers it will raise a brow but that will be amply compensated by buckets full of blood. Cheers.... An excellent film for the right audience.

Yes, this film is silly. Yes the script is badly written, the plot far from convincing, the acting mediocre...etc. But as a silly film, this film is highly entertaining. It is one of the best bad films I've ever seen (I would place it on a level with Commando), and you can even take it to a higher level by interpreting parts of it as a parody on the goth-culture and on traditional serious modern-vampire films. I don't think this film is meant to be taken seriously, just consider all the cheesy one-liners and how the characters never step outside the sterotype. I pressured a group of very sceptic people to watch this movie with me and within a few minutes, these people, who had just been threatening never to let me decide on a film again, were laughing out loud. I would watch this film again, no doubt about that :-)

So, relax people, it's perfectly o.k. to enjoy silly things, it won't make you any less an intellectual!
