Ronin Warriors (1988)

Trivia

Ronin Warriors

Edit
The anime reflects many characteristics of Japanese culture. The armor of the samurai represent the five typical elements of the Japanese tradition (air, water, fire, earth and light) which are opposed to the four demons (evil, deception, poison, darkness).
The Samurai to call the undergears use luminous spheres with the symbol of their virtues called "kokoro no tama" which means "heart gem".
The series was conceived by "Hajime Yatate", pseudonym used in many Sunrise productions (from Gundam to Cowboy Bebop and Code Geass) to indicate a group of staff members.
Series Director Masashi Ikeda stated that the series is loosely inspired by He Man and the Masters of the universe. The character Byakuen aka White Blaze is inspired by Kringer/Battle Cat.
In Spain the names of the five heroes (Ryo, Shin, Shu Rei, Touma and Seiji) were translated as Héctor, Jorge, Tristán, Tommy and César.
