Trivia

Thriller

Edit
The 2008 DVD release included the made for TV film Who Killed Lamb? (1974) which is sometimes erroneously listed as a Thriller episode.
To appeal to TV audiences in the USA, many episodes featured at least one American actor in a leading role.
Original UK title sequence featured fish-eye lens photos of episode locations. When the episodes ran in syndication in the 1970s in the USA, they included a new longer opening sequence and titles and ending credits in a style unique to each episode. Without the original cast, the newly shot opening often featured a new scene that avoided showing faces of actors. Photographs and drawings of characters were also employed. The longer American edits of the episodes were included in the repeats aired in the UK in the 1980s. Subsequent releases sometimes include the American scenes as a bonus feature.
Thriller (1973) is a British television series, originally broadcast in the UK from 1973 to 1976. It is an anthology series: each episode has a self-contained story and its own cast. As the title suggests, each story is a thriller of some variety, from tales of the supernatural to down-to-earth whodunits.
