This series was often paired with The Three Friends... and Jerry (1999) when it aired on Fox Family until the channel became ABC Family.
Coincidentally, two urban legends from the series ("The Hook" and the more obscure "People Can Lick Too") were also featured in the horror anthology film Campfire Tales (1997), which premiered the same year as Freaky Stories.
The series aired on Australia's ABC network during the early-mid 2000s, without the live action wraparound segments.
