Kim Kardashian is pairing with La La Anthony and Kenya Barris for her first-look deal at 20th Television: They’ll be adapting “The Love Playbook,” the New York Times best-seller co-written by Anthony, for Hulu.

The reality TV star’s deal with the studio will see her developing dramas, comedies and limited series.

Prime Video’s “Fallout” Gets First Look

The bunker door is creaking open at Prime Video. The streamer has released the first images for its upcoming “Fallout” series adaptation, starring Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, and more.

Based on the Bethesda video game franchise of the same name, the series takes place “in a future, post-apocalyptic Los Angeles [where] citizens must live in underground bunkers to protect themselves from radiation, mutants, and bandits after nuclear annihilation.”

When Nate Burleson joins Gayle King and Tony Dokoupil as co-host of CBS’s morning show next month, the program will have a new look, theme and name: CBS Mornings.

The changes, to launch on Sept. 7, will connect all of the morning shows together with some of the elements of its long running CBS Sunday Morning, which has long topped its time period on weekends, including the use of the sun logo and trumpet music, Gottfried Reiche’s Abblasen.

The first hour of the weekday broadcast will still be devoted to hard news and conversation, while the second hour will feature expanded feature reporting, a central part of the Sunday show, as well as live interviews, arts and culture pieces from Anthony Mason, who recently was co-host, and Vlad Duthiers with the What to Watch segment.

There will be a surprising new face waiting to greet viewers at “CBS This Morning.”

Nate Burleson, the former NFL wide receiver and current CBS Sports football analyst, is joining the program, according to three people familiar with the matter. These people said Burleson is seen as a potential successor to some of the current anchors at the show, and the move will break up the current group of co-anchors: Gayle King, Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil. Mason, a veteran CBS News correspondent who has filled many roles, including as interim anchor of “CBS Evening News,” is expected to depart and take on a new role as a cultural correspondent. King, who has been with “CBS This Morning” since 2012 and has stood at the center of the show since it was revamped following the departure of Charlie Rose, has a contract that ends next year.

CBS News declined to make executives available for comment.

MTV turns 40 on Sunday, and it hardly looks its age. Well, that’s because it hardly looks like, well, anything anymore. At least that’s the depressing state of the linear MTV channel, which in recent years has become 95% reruns of “Ridiculousness,” along with a handful of runs of 20-year-old movies (“Joe Dirt”) and limited first-run airings of legacy shows like “Teen Mom” and “Catfish: The TV Series.”

Earl Simmons, the rapper better known as Dmx, died on Friday at White Plains Hospital in White Plains, New York, one week after suffering a heart attack. He was 50 years old.

Simmons’ family said they were “deeply saddened” to announce the rapper’s death, adding that he died “with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days.”

CBS is contemplating a move that could harness a cavernous studio facility in the New York headquarters of its corporate parent, ViacomCBS, for use by CBS News — in particular its A.M. program.

The studio offers panoramic views of Times Square, was once used as a base for the legendary MTV program “Trl,” and can be seen from the windows of the New York building that houses ABC morning rival “Good Morning America.” After using the space for CBS News’ coverage of the 2020 presidential election, executives are mulling the prospect of letting the news division do more there, according to three people familiar with the discussions.

Jesse Camp, a one-time video jockey for MTV’s “Total Request Live,” has been reported missing in Riverside, California.

Camp’s sister, Marisha, reported to Riverside police on July 19 that she had last seen her brother in California, and announced his disappearance in an Instagram story on Monday.

“Jesse was last seen in California last week, but has not reached out to us yet,” she wrote. “What he needs more than anything is kindness and love… Please keep him in your prayers. If you see him, please let him know that many, many people care…”

Officer Ryan J. Railsback, a spokesman with the Riverside Police Department, confirmed to Variety that Camp was reported missing by his sister, Mariah, on July 19 after he failed to respond to calls from herself and other family members, which, according to her, is unusual.

MTV has tweaked its scheduling plans for Total Request Live after announcing last month that it was planning to expand the franchise with daily morning and late night shows this summer.

Staring in June, the network was supposed to add an hourlong daily morning edition, titled Total Request A.M., which will be very music-driven with limited commercials and will feature musical performances, celebrity interviews and a music video countdown.
