I'd just like to comment on the absolutely fantastic series called 'Dream Team' on Sky 1. The show has just finished its second series and it is still going well. I have just finished watching the second series finale and I must say that it was an absolutely fantastic episode. Harchester United played Manchester United in the FA Cup Final. Harchester beat Man U 2-1 and the hero of the day was 'Luis Amor Rodriguez'. But, who got shot???
This is like the coolest soccer-series ever. About the soccer team Harchester United and all the things which are happening inside and outside the club. A MusT SEE !!!
Dream Team is Eastenders, but at the ground of a football team. Since it began in 1997, it has run for five series and the sixth is on it's way. It was made for Sky One and focuses on the on and off pitch antics of members of fictional Premiership side Harchester United and their friends, girlfriends and even wives. It is really good because it is really realistic, unlike Footballer's Wives, Dream Team employs real footballers to play the extras of the team, (Danny Husbands, Peter Mack...) and they have real football conslutants. In an average episode, they show some real game footage, doctored to have purple shirts for Harchester. Off the pitch the stories are realistic and the acting is superb, particularly Terry Kiely (Karl Fletcher) and Alison King (Lynda Block) Watch this show if you want to know how a football club works, or if you want to see that footballer's lives aren't all fame and fortune.....
A fun sporting drama based around the careers and lives of players and staff of a (made-up) premiership football team from Harchester. Funny enough, it's more legitimate than it probably thinks when highlighting players attitudes, self-absorbed and greedy being specialties. The show is quite compelling, and the way it alternates between football and everyday soap-like drama is fetching, especially when focusing on the difficulties between juggling family lives with that of dealing with executives, agents, and coaches. The games themselves are as if you are watching legitimate games on Sky Sports or ITV; in the case of the Champions League, the presenters conduct themselves perfectly, and the game prep is on key with everyday stadia. Brilliant, just brilliant.
This is an excellent footballing drama with lots of cool actors and actresses and they act great. Its about a struggling football team called Harchester United and they keep trying to win matches, they often loose but they win sometimes. If you havent seen this show go see it now!
