Hey Hey It's Saturday (1971)

Trivia

Hey Hey It's Saturday

Edit
Hey Hey's segment "Red Faces" was the discovery ground of artists such as Peter Andre, Raymond J. Bartholomew, Mr Methane, Max Sharam and 1927.
Over the course of Hey Hey's almost 30 year run, it guest starred over 10,000 celebrities and musical acts from all over the world.
Ossie Ostrich almost had a small GameBoy game made featuring him as the main character, but the developers opted to go with Agro from Agro's Cartoon Connection (1990) instead.
In one episode's Plucka Duck segment, a female contestant spun the wheel and it stopped with its flipper resting on the peg just before the wheel's top prize, a car. The contestant was initially judged to have won the lesser prize that the flipper was about to leave, until the head of the Nine Network at the time, Kerry Packer, interrupted the show with a phone call in which he directed Daryl Somers to "give her the car".
Daryl Somers and Red Symons once had a fight on set after Daryl put super glue on Red's seat in the segment Red Faces. Red was reprimanded at first but then network owner Kerry Packer took the two out on his yacht, where they put the incident behind them.
