Jeetendra first home production
Mehmood claimed his good friend Mr. Sadhu wanted to turn producer and Mehmood helped him. Mehmood started Tirupati Films ,signed the director, actors and named the film Humjoli. But during the shooting Mr.Sadhu died. Mehmood wanted to give the film to the producers of his old film Road 303. But Jeetendra bought the film and gave it to Prasan Kapoor and his father Amarnath Kapoor. Jeetendra ended up making lots of money with the film. Jeetendra extended his role after buying the film. Jeetenda was also nervous about Jeetendra mimicking the Kapoor family. Years later Jeetendra and Mehmood had a bad falling out. They had a distribution office in London. But Jeetendra decided to pull out as he no longer wanted to be partners with Mehmood. They finally patched things up years later.
Mehmood plays a triple role in the film. He plays a son, a father, and a grandfather in the same film as Shivram, Balram, and Parshuram respectively. The roles of Balram and Parshuram mimic the real-life father-son duo of Raj Kapoor and Prithviraj Kapoor respectively.
In some of Jeetendra's home Production one Heroine would make an special appearance in an Song Sequence. In Humjoli Mumtaz did an Caberate song,song also the same Rekha did mujra in Jyoti Bane Jwala and Reena Roy Qawali in Deedar E Yaar.
