Passed by the British Board of Film Censors with an "A" certificate on 25 June 1954 and shown to the London press on 5 October 1954 at the Hammer Theatre, Wardour Street. UK distributors Eros did not win a general release on the major circuits, but the film became a popular programme filler from 18 October 1954. Even though the compilation was comprised of three television episodes currently on BBC at that time, the very small number of TV-sets meant that the majority of the public could only see this thriller in cinemas.
The erroneous photo ad seen here is actually Douglas Fairbanks Jr. introducing Douglas Fairbanks Presents. Someone has superimposed Fabian of the Yard on to the wrong image. Fairbanks never appeared in the Fabian series and looked nothing like Bruce Seton.
