This is a beautifully shot film and features good performances by the actors. Perhaps lacking slightly in passion but still plenty of emotion present. Admittedly I don't know how close to the truth it is but it seems to be handled sensitively. I'd recommend it, it's pleasant viewing and you care about the characters. For those wanting action this movie will be a little slow, though!

This is a film based on the "wonder" Helen Keller as an adult (20). It's a good example on how a good story can go wrong, so wrong. The actors tries so much, too much, and when you do that you always stumble and fall. And in this movie they fall over and over again. There is no surprises in this movie. After watching it for 15-20 minutes i knew the movie without knowing the Helen Keller story.
It was nice to see Roma Downey in another role besides her angelic Monica. In "Monday After the Miracle",her role of Annie is seen struggling between being a good and loving wife, or a devoted teacher to the other main character, Helen. Helen was born blind, deaf and dumb, and with Annie's help and care, grows to be a cultured and educated lady.Helen also deals with whether she can be in a real relationship with a man. And how the 2 lead stars then go on to help the similarly disabled.
Is this based on life? Yes, after Helen Keller, who founded the American Foundation for the Blind.
A beautiful movie...do give it a watch :)
