"Den radosti" ("A Day of Joy") is a highly unusual avant-garde Czech short documentary that mixes images, interviews and stills
related with the coverage of a festivity from the place plus a treaty on the evolution of technology, trains, the earliest flying planes, etc.
Very hard to define and describe, but so intriguing and compelling for most of its showing that it's hard to feel bothered. The collage of images and the interviews from locals talking about the importance of playing and acting out is quite interesting to follow, the folks all have a great sense of humor and they're quite eloquent about whatever they share. Yet Dusan Hanák made an enigmatic piece that challenges audiences with its puzzling ideas and find a wide definition to everything that makes some sense. 6/10.
