"THE $10,000 PYRAMID" debuted on Monday-Friday March 26-30, 1973 on CBS-TV at 10:30-11:00AM (Eastern) and the host is/was Dick Clark "America's Oldest Teenager" taking/took over for "The (All-(New)) Price is Right (1972)" Starring Bob Barker to the Afternoon Time Slot at 3:00-3:30 PM (Eastern).
CBS nearly kept the show while Love of Life (1951) was considered for cancellation, but CBS chose to keep Love of Life (1951) and cancel "Pyramid" instead, before ABC picked up the show.
ABC nearly cancelled the show in 1977 when One Life to Live (1968) and General Hospital (1963) were expanded from 45 minutes to one hour, but The Better Sex (1977) got the axe instead.
The 1st celebrity guests/guest stars on the debut weekday broadcast of "THE $10,000 PYRAMID" on CBS-TV are June Lockhart & Rob Reiner; Rob Reiner went on/go on to become the first celebrity guest star with his civilian partner named Mr. Bob Lyon to successfully climb to the top of The Big $10,000 Pyramid aka "THE WINNER'S CIRCLE" (his winning clue for the $200 Subject is "Things With A Hole" was/is "Doughnuts") on Friday March 30, 1973 and he wins $10,000 within less than 60 Seconds (1 Minute.)
On The 4 Syndicated editions (1974-79, 1981, 1985-88 & 1991-92) on many local television station markets, the daytime network editions and the weekly and daily syndicated editions of Pyramid aired the same day for THE (1st) $25,000 & $100,000 PYRAMIDS {September 9, 1974-79 & 1985} except both separate releases in 1981 for "THE $50,000 PYRAMID" and in 1991 for "THE NEW $100,000 PYRAMID" Starring John Davidson.
