- [He scratches the phone to pretend he's losing the signal]

- [Zenigata flatlines]
- Hospital Doctor: Such a pity.
- IPCO Secretary: Zenigata-kun... I'll never forget your ardor. We will arrest Lupin!
- [the Inspector suddenly awakens]

- [He pulls on the doctor's face]

- Hospital Doctor: I'm not Lupin!
- IPCO Secretary: Calm down, Zenigata-kun!
- Inspector Zenigata: Sir, where's Lupin?

- [He suddenly freezes, steam coming out of his nose]
- Hospital Doctor: He's unconscious.
- [Zenigata flatlines. The doctor checks his pulse, then shakes his head]
- Doc: I'm afraid he's passed on.
- Officer: He was the best. I'll never forget Inspector Zenigata, and his amazing resolve in capturing Lupin the Third.
- [Zenigata suddenly awakens]
- Inspector Zenigata (voice: English version): Lupin?
- [He sits up and grabs the doctor's face, thinking it's a mask]
- Inspector Zenigata (voice: English version): I've got you now, you stinking thief! Impersonating a doctor, eh? Take that mask off! Come on!
- Officer: [pulling the doctor away] Stop! This is not Lupin!
- Inspector Zenigata (voice: English version): Where is he? Where's Lupin?
- Officer: He's still at large, Zenigata.
- Inspector Zenigata (voice: English version): I knew it. No-one can catch Lupin the Third but me.
- [He suddenly freezes, eyes open and arms folded. Steam rushes from his nose. The doctor waves a hand in front of Zenigata]
- Doc: I... I guess he fainted.
- Inspector Zenigata (voice: English version): So, that's what slowed the bullet, eh? Good old ICPO issue.

- [He takes a bite of a rice cake]
- Vicky Flanagan: Inspector...
- [Zenigata earbuds in, turns on some rousing enka music and tries to rest. Suddenly, the room starts to shake. Zenigata opens his eyes and sees Vicky covering his ears and shouting. Zenigata, confused, takes the earbuds out, and a loud deafening noise causes him to cover his ears as well. The window burst open and Lupin stands at it with a basket of fruit]
- Arsene Lupin III: Hey, Pops! You look well!
- Inspector Zenigata: Lupin!
- [Lupin throws him the fruit basket]
- Arsene Lupin III: A get well present!
- [Zenigata brushes the basket aside in a rage]
- Inspector Zenigata: Don't toy with me!
- [He dives after Lupin and almost falls out the window. Vicky grabs him]
- Vicky Flanagan: Watch out!
- Arsene Lupin III: [flying away in the plane] Hope you enjoy it!
- Inspector Zenigata: Trying to escape, are you? Come back here!
- [Lupin is too far gone. Zenigata pounds the window sill in anger]
- Inspector Zenigata: Damn it, damn it, damn it!
- [Vicky finds the card Lupin left with the basket and sees that it shows where the Tarantula gang is]
- Vicky Flanagan: Inspector!
- Officer: It's ironic that the one bullet with your name on it came from Lupin.
- Inspector Zenigata (voice: English version): What? Come on. Lupin the Third wouldn't shoot me.
- Officer: [tossing Zenigata a newspaper] Read this.
- Inspector Zenigata (voice: English version): "Vice President Ametelia assassinated"
- Officer: Under that.
- Inspector Zenigata (voice: English version): "Gun that brought down the Inspector was registered under the name of Arsène Lupin the Third"?
