excellent

Well... it's an Israeli film - and surprisingly enough it's a good israeli tv movie.

it has an excellent tension balancing between an understated plot and surrealism - and despite what i just wrote - it actually has a script - a very good script... it's like watching some new wave french film - only its not pretentious, has a plot, not too slow and interesting for the eye... a good new wave film?

It's about this girl who visits a wierd psychologist. she believes that if only she could change one thing in her past then.... sounds corny but isn't

thats the wierd part about this movie - it could have been corny and pretentious non plot three and a half hours movie... but somehow someone used all them handicaps to produce something small and touching.

terse and intriguing

a neat and original idea this: the protagonist visits a fortune teller who has her own difficulties with the occult.

it's also a pleasant change to see a single idea turned into a short terse film instead of spun out to feature length.

i particularly liked the way that the film changes plot direction constantly while the film is going on, the main character doesn't really know what she wants from the future and dithers somewhat in the film, i found this especially convincing.

one of the best film I've seen

It is absolutely spellbinding. I remember seeing it long time ago when it won an award and was shown on BBC Film4 in one of the wee hours at night. Can somebody put it on pirate bay or pick torrent please?! I tried everywhere to look for a copy of it but to no avail.

The atmosphere is extraordinary. You are being sucked into the fortune telling room. After the movie I thought of: 1. Things that I've done when I was a child that I wished I didn't and can turn back the clock; 2. Wished I've married my first love; 3. Felt so happy at the end -- the best ending I've ever seen!

A minor point but for the girls: Yair Lotan (the one who plays Yuwal) is so very good-looking that Brad Pitt is only second best compared to him. Please post some good pictures of him in Domino somewhere for me to download!

Sue.
