Am yet to see this movie but when looking at these reviews to help me decide whether I should, I wish to state that it seems some of the seven reviewers have not yet seen the movie either. One reviewer draws attention to the 'many' reviewers so far who have been adversely critical. HELLO, there have only been four review entries before yours! Another critic here has forgotten that this is just a 'run-of-the-mill' made for tv movies and yet the entire 'Hollywood' industry is attacked for driving an amateur critic to express 'hate' for movies in general.
Very weird indeed!
Well I'm back having just watched this average, non-suspenseful 'thriller'.
But it wasn't completely without merit and I certainly disagree strongly with one reviewer here who says the final outcome was apparent in the first FIVE MINUTES! This person is either a clairvoyant or hasn't watched the movie at all.
Unfortunately the device of using different locations for interrogating the main characters, one in the hospital and the other in the police station concurrently falls flat because of the improbability that a man within sight of his dying wife would hardly be hectored in such a manner by Detective Rawlins and King. The performances by Roana Zal and Perry King were adequate whilst the presence of Daniel Benzali as the investigative officer added some gravitas to the scenario. No, this wasn't a product of' Hollywood' and was never intended to be treated as such but I have seen worse movies on the big and small screen than this fare for which I'll award 4 stars.

For ten years the majority of product oozing out of Hollywood has been miserably amateurish, badly written, poorly produced...and this is a perfect example of predictable nonsense that is beyond boring and immeasurably disappointing and a total waste of time. Just another attempt that is making me HATE movies...
I'm reviewing this movie many years after it was made but it could have been made recently. I thought it was better than a lot of TV movies and I loved the twist. You weren't sure who was telling the truth for sure until the end which I loved. Perry King is always good and the acting was good all round. The person who reviewed the movie and said all the men were unattractive must have been a guy. Also, lots of younger women are attracted to older men. In real life King was only 51. Not old. And extremely good looking! Good movie - great ending. I've watched it a few times and always see clues I didn't before. I felt it was cleverly done.
This is definitely one of the best made-for-TV movies out there. "Her Married Lover" is a wonderful movie for anyone who's in the mood for a good old-fashioned murder-mystery, with a modern, sophisticated feel to it. I would definitely recommend this movie, and I give it a 9 out of 10 stars. Please e-mail me if you'd like to discuss this or any movie!
This movie isn't bad, but I wasn't impressed either. The usual flashback way of telling the story is slightly changed here: one character tells us what happened, the second one confirms the situations, but puts them in different context, giving them different meaning, and some crucial moments are told completely opposite. As the movie continues it becomes a bit boring, there are no real changes, plot is straight, clear and predictable: whole movie is built on only one question: whose version is a true one? And, unfortunately, the final answer isn't surprising...
This movie is an average, watchable and very forgettable story when you have nothing wiser to do. Zal was disappointing (so promising actress in her early movies like Testament or Amelia, I hoped she'll become something like Mare Winningham, but this movie maybe didn't give her enough opportunity), Perry was better in flashback scenes and quite inconceivable when dealing with her wife's death and being a suspect for her murder, Greene had too small part and I wonder how low can she fall, while Benzali was the only reason one could enjoy in this movie.
If it was written by Raymond Chandler it could be a masterpiece, and Hitchcock had made some great movies with even worse script. But, there was only one Chandler and only one Hitch - so sometimes we have to be satisfied with movies like this.
